Traditional French Gites
Four wonderful, stonebuilt, farm buildings have been tastefully renovated to provide very comfortable gite accommodation with a shared swimming pool.
During the history of Les Granges the family grew substantial crops of tobacco, hence one of the gites being named the Tobacco Barn; Walnuts are still grown here hence the Walnut Store, the third and fourth gites are La Roque Terrasse so named because of its superb view of the floodlit La Roque St Christophe, and last but not least the Haybarn.
Our concept for the gites has been to create four very different, comfortabley furnished, units each utilising the natural features integral to each cottage.
The gite complex is also great for groups up to 12. Cots and highchairs are available and can be placed in most of the gites.
The standard of accommodation is high, with good quality bathrooms and kitchens. All gites have both central heating and a wood burning stove - a must for a cosy night in. Large 9kg washing machine, line dryer and chest freezer are all easily accessible. Each gite has it’s own individual terraced area with seating and a barbecue.
There is a shared 10 x 5 metre swimming pool and poolside area with convenient access from all gites. It has a natural sandstone wall on two sides and a large bamboo plantation on a third - leaving ample space to enjoy the wonderful views over the valley and surrounding countryside making it an ideal location to spend a lazy summer afternoon.
